SÖRAB is a regional waste disposal company owned by the municipalities of Danderyd,
Järfälla, Lidingö, Sollentuna, Solna, Stockholm, Sundbyberg, Täby, Upplands Väsby
and Vallentuna. We assist households and companies in handling waste in the region
in an environment-friendly way. SÖRAB runs several plants for the efficient
handling of waste.

SÖRAB is also a knowledge company in the field of waste disposal and runs development
projects, issues information and establishes plans. We want you to think before you
throw your rubbish away, and know how to sort things correctly. How you sort your
rubbish can decide whether it can be recycled, used for energy, or must be deposited
in a landfill. SÖRAB can give you information to simplify the collective work for a

An environmental company
SÖRAB has been environmentally certified in accordance with ISO 14001 since May 1998,
and the guiding principle in all our activities is environmental awareness. Here are
some of the things SÖRAB does to contribute towards a better environment:
We have a modern landfill, Löt in Vallentuna.
We run a large recycling plant, Hagby in Täby.
We have recycling centres for bulky household waste.
We have two of our own reloading stations to coordinate the transportation of household waste.
We compost garden refuse.
We take care of fridges and freezers.
We have a well-functioning network of partners for the incineration of different fractions of fuel and the biological treatment of decomposable organic waste.
